Our Key Programmes
The Leader in Me programme starts from a premise that every child possesses unique strengths and has the ability to be a leader, leader of oneself. With personal leadership, all students have the capacity to lead in their own lives and affect those around them by making positive choices. These are achieved through the learning and practising of the 7 Habits through a three-pronged approach:
1) Direct lessons: Weekly lessons conducted by form and co-form teachers
2) Integration into curriculum and co-curriculum
3) Modeling by teachers and peers
The 7 Habits
1: Be Proactive Habit
2: Begin With the End in Mind Habit
3: Put First Things First Habit
4: Think Win-Win Habit
5: Seek First To Understand, Then to Be Understood Habit
6: Synergize Habit
7: Sharpen the Saw
Leadership Development Programme
i) Every student can be developed as a leader
Every student in BHPS possesses own abilities and talents. Every student has the potential to be a leader by making a positive difference within his/her sphere of influence, and thereby be a leader.
ii) Every student should be developed as a leader
Every student in BHPS should be provided with the opportunity and given access to learn on how to be an effective leader. This would influence how the student make decisions in the short/long run and in turn impact positively his/her sphere of influence.
(iii) Student Leadership Development needs to be intentional
leadership development, it ensures that all students are equipped with the
requisite competencies for effective leadership. The design and delivery of the
SLD programme should be differentiated such that all students receive baseline
training while some, which shows higher potential, will be stretched with more
