Friends of Gaia
Students learn about environmental issues and what they can do to help protect the Earth. Opportunities are provided for students to develop their problem-solving skills by thinking of ways in which they can reinforce awareness of environmental issues in the school, as well as, developing and implementing initiatives to make the school a greener place.
There will be a wide range of activities that include science activities and craftwork involving the use of recyclables and making them useful again. Students will also have the opportunities to develop their confidence and leadership qualities while educating their schoolmates and the general public through campaign booths set up during recess and Outreach events at public places.
Students will also be prepared to take part in competitions like the Greenwave competition.
